Kidz for a Cause Raises $300,540 for Kapiolani's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
More than 200 kids ages 6 to 17 joined Kidz for a Cause for its ThinkTank 2016 FUNraising campaign and raised $300,540 for Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The Hawaii-based organization is run by kids and combines positivity, talent, and energy to spearhead unique fundraisers benefiting keiki in our community.

76 Students Complete Hawaii Pacific Health Summer Internship

American Savings Bank Employees Raise More Than $70,000 for Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children
American Savings Bank employees raised $72,641 for Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children through their annual employee giving campaign, Kahiau. The funds will support the hospital’s Child Life Services program, which provides various services for pediatric patients to help them cope positively with their illness and hospitalization.

Annual Prom Gives Teen Patients an Unforgettable Evening
Nothing can stop teens from attending their first prom – except maybe an illness that lands them in the hospital. For the past four years, the staff and volunteers at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children have done the seemingly impossible and brought the prom to their patients, not only to extend the care they provide to patients every day, but to create a fun, comfortable and safe environment for patients to have an unforgettable experience.
Female Surf Competition Raises Funds and Awareness for the Sex Abuse Treatment Center
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the China Uemura Wahine Surfing Classic brings together female surfers of all ages on June 4 and 5 at Kuhio Beach in Waikiki for a friendly surf competition that also supports a good cause. Since the event’s inception in 1996, proceeds from this annual event are donated to the Sex Abuse Treatment Center (SATC), a program of Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children.

Ticket sales from the third annual Ko Olina Children's Film & Music Festival held April 30 and contributions from the Ko Olina Resort Association resulted in a $55,000 donation to Kapiolani Medical Center.

Live life from a place of [respect], prevent sexual violence, join the movement. These messages are part of the [respect] campaign, a call to action by the Sex Abuse Treatment Center (SATC) that promotes positive steps youth and young adults can take to prevent sexual violence, such as engaging in healthy communication, seeking consent and intervening as concerned bystanders.
