Positively Pregnant
A free two-hour class with our helpful pregnancy guide. Available to all couples planning or expecting a baby, this class can help you have the healthiest pregnancy and baby possible.
Topics include common discomforts of pregnancy and what you can do. It also covers exercise, nutrition, changes that mom will go through and signs of complications.
Prepared Childbirth
Designed for expectant parents in their last 3 months of pregnancy. This course covers female anatomy, warning signs, pre-labor signs, signs of labor, phases of labor, timing contractions, comfort measures and breathing techniques for labor.
The class will also discuss relaxation exercises, birthing options, pain management, cesarean deliveries as well as your partner's role, postpartum care, and newborn appearance and procedures.
Infant Care
Designed to educate expectant new parents on how best to prepare for a newborn baby. Topics of discussion will include preparing for your baby, breastfeeding for expectant mothers, and your baby at birth.
The class will also discuss general care and bathing, child safety and childproofing, child passenger safety, as well as infant CPR for family and friends.
Infant Care for Grandparents/Caregivers
This series is designed to educate grandparents and caregivers on the newest ways to care for a newborn baby. Topics will include updated baby care basics, safety, car seats and Infant CPR. Baby care basics include feeding, bathing, swaddling and sleep position. (Should baby sleep on their stomach or back? Should bumper pads be placed in the crib?)
This class will give grandparents the rationale of the current findings and what can be done now.
Maternity & Baby Classes led by our Team of Experts
We are proud to have a team of childbirth educators with more than 75 combined years of nursing experience. Our educators make it their highest priority to stay up-to-date with changing trends in obstetrics, labor support, breastfeeding, child birthing and more. In addition, they work closely with staff stationed in the units to establish cohesive education for all our patients.
