Hawaii Mothers Milk

Hawaii Mother’s Milk, Inc (HMMI) promotes, encourages and advocates for breastfeeding as the best source of nutrition for infants. HMMI is the only community lactation resource that provides consultation services free of charge to the women of Hawaii.

By providing complimentary services, HMMI enables new mothers – regardless of economic status – to choose breastfeeding over formula feedings, providing their newborn infant with the best nutrition and healthiest start in life.

Hawaii Mother’s Milk is a comprehensive breastfeeding resource center that provides professional education and lactation counseling so that mothers may provide their own breastmilk for their baby, even when faced with challenges such as having a hospitalized baby.

HMMI is located at Kapiolani Medical Center on the third floor of the new Diamond Head Tower, allowing for close collaboration with physicians, nurses, staff and families in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to better help address the needs of critically ill infants.
