Breast Screening

Caring for your breast health is one of the most important things you can do to stay healthy. Monthly self-exams and early detection with annual mammogram screenings is the best defense against breast cancer as mammography is the only screening method consistently proven to reduce deaths from breast cancer.

American College of Radiology (ACR) recommends annual screening beginning at age 40 for women at average risk. Women at higher than average risk may qualify to start screening earlier and for additional screening procedures.
