Children Younger Than 5 Years Among the Hundreds of Kids Who Received the COVID-19 Vaccine at Hawaii Pacific Health Facilities

The first doses of Pfizer’s three-dose COVID-19 vaccine for children younger than age 5 were administered during two large-scale public clinics at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children and Kauai Medical Clinic.

Ten children ranging in ages from 14 months to 4 years received their first doses of the three-dose Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for children younger than age 5 today at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children.

Hawaii Pacific Health to Offer Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine for Children Younger Than Age 5 Starting June 25

Hawaii Pacific Health will begin offering Pfizer’s three-dose COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 6 months through 4 years at vaccination clinics on Oahu and Kauai. Parents can now sign up online for the appointment-only time slots.

Hawaii Pacific Health Doctors Rank as HONOLULU Magazine’s Top Doctors

The June 2022 issue of HONOLULU Magazine features its annual list of Top Doctors in the state. This year’s list includes more than 200 doctors affiliated with Hawaii Pacific Health. Among those included on the list this year is Dr. Cass Nakasone, an orthopedic surgeon based at Straub Medical Center, who is featured on the cover.

Mathew Loughlin has been named vice president of hospital operations for Pali Momi Medical Center. Hawaii Pacific Health Honors More Than 1,500 Health Care Heroes on National Doctors’ Day

Gloria Brooks Named Chief Operating Officer at Pali Momi Medical Center

Gloria Brooks has been named chief operating officer at Pali Momi Medical Center and will manage all clinical and business operations for the 118-bed health care facility in Aiea. Brooks most recently served as vice president of hospital operations at Pali Momi. Prior to that, she led health information services at Straub Medical Center and the Hawaii Pacific Health system, after a decade of leading information management and operations for medical groups on the mainland. Brooks has more than 30 years of experience in the health care industry.

Hawaii Pacific Health Partners with Honolulu Fire Department and Department of Health for Keiki Drive-Through COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics

Hawaii Pacific Health, the Hawaii Department of Health and the Honolulu Fire Department are teaming up to allow parents to get their kids vaccinated from the comfort of their vehicle with upcoming drive-through vaccine clinics for children ages 5-11 and their families on Oahu. The HPH Keiki Vax Squad Drive-Through clinics are scheduled on Nov. 13-14 at Aloha Stadium and Nov. 20-21 at Kapolei High School. The drive-through clinics will help make the vaccination process quick, convenient and kid-friendly.

Hawaii Pacific Health Employees Donate More Than $1 Million to Support Patient Care Through Annual Employee Giving Campaign

As part of the 2021 Hawaii Pacific Health Employee Giving Campaign, nearly 4,000 employees raised a total of $1,068,127 through generous donations of either gifts or pledges, which will go toward Hawaii Pacific Health medical programs and services that directly benefit the local community. This is the fifth straight year that employees have raised at least $1 million to support the organization’s mission to create a healthier Hawaii.
