Jan Boivin has been named senior vice president of human resources and organizational effectiveness for Hawaii Pacific Health. She will oversee human resources for more than 7,000 employees at HPH medical centers, clinics and other centers throughout Hawaii.
“I am thrilled to be joining Hawaii Pacific Health at such a critical juncture for Hawaii’s workforce,” Boivin said. “HPH is immersing itself in the community to empower high school and college students to become Hawaii’s health care professionals of the future. Combined with continuing education for health care professionals, the creation of alternative pathways to certifications and degrees, and sensitivity to technology and its impacts in the health care environment, HPH’s innovative and thoughtful efforts will truly help Hawaii for generations to come.”
Boivin brings a wealth of local and national experience to HPH. A graduate of Leilehua High School, she earned her bachelor’s degree from Willamette University and her juris doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center.
For nearly 15 years as the senior vice president, general counsel and board secretary at Hawaii Pacific University, Boivin led the development and launch of significant initiatives to advance and enhance employee and student experiences.
“Jan has dedicated her career to educating and empowering people and organizations across Hawaii,” Art Gladstone, HPH executive vice president and chief strategy officer, said. “Her passion for creating strong communities, as well as her well-established relationships with local universities, organizations, lawmakers and leaders will enhance our work to create a healthier Hawaii.”
