Female Surf Competition Raises Funds and Awareness for the Sex Abuse Treatment Center
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the China Uemura Wahine Surfing Classic brings together female surfers of all ages on June 4 and 5 at Kuhio Beach in Waikiki for a friendly surf competition that also supports a good cause. Since the event’s inception in 1996, proceeds from this annual event are donated to the Sex Abuse Treatment Center (SATC), a program of Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children.

Nan, Inc. has presented $1 million to Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children in support of the hospital’s expansion plans. In recognition of the company’s generosity, the auditorium in the new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Building will be named the Nan, Inc. Auditorium.
