Wednesday, February 19, was an exciting day as Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children broke ground on the first new building in the multi-year plan to expand and rebuild the hospital. In attendance at the ceremony were Kapiolani CEO Martha Smith, Hawaii Pacific Health President & CEO Ray Vara, Hawaii State Representative Della Au Belatti and various neighbors from the surrounding community. The project is slated for completion in spring 2016 and will open in fall 2016.
