Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS) - Hybrid

OFFERING INFORMATION:
This offering is intended for healthcare professionals caring for potentially unstable, critically ill or injured patients.

It will cover management principles for the first 24-hours of critical care.


OBJECTIVES:
1. Prioritize assessment of critically ill patients.
2. Identify and select appropriate diagnostic tests.
3. Identify and manage changes in unstable patients.
4. Initiate management of acute life-threatening conditions.
5. Determine the need for expert consultation and patient transfer.
6. Prepare for optimal, safe patient transfer.


CONTINUING EDUCATION:
In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Hawai‘i Pacific Health (HPH) and the University of Hawai‘i John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM). Hawai‘i Pacific Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
