Fundamental Simulation Instructional Methods

OFFERING INFORMATION:
A highly acclaimed fast-paced, course at the John A. Burns School of Medicine’s SimTiki Simulation Center. This is an in-person train-the-trainer course focused on educators and technicians who desire to effectively apply sound up-to-date instructional design principles of simulation-based healthcare education with active facilitation and debriefing techniques.

This class dates: October 2-3, 2025
Day One, October 2nd: 0900 - 1600
Day Two, October 3rd: 0900 - 1200


OVERALL OBJECTIVES:
1. Identify the framework of simulation-based
healthcare education.
2. Review how orientation sets the stage for a safe
learning environment.


CONTINUING EDUCATION:
In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Hawai‘i Pacific Health and the John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM). Hawai‘i Pacific Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Hawai‘i Pacific Health designates this live activity for a maximum of 8.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ for physicians. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
