OFFERING INFORMATION:
This event will focus on the quality of life of teens and adults with congenital heart disease. The conference will provide a comprehensive overview of advances in imaging, surgical and catheterization treatments and procedures, while exploring patients' perspectives and the unique lifelong challenges of living with a congenital heart condition.
OVERALL OBJECTIVES:
1. Identify benefits and disadvantages of pediatric and adult care facilities in ACHD.
2. Provide high quality care for patients with ACHD in the peri-operative setting.
3. Incorporate aspects of well-being in ACHD patient care.
4. Balance medical and personal goals for optimal overall outcome ACHD patients.
5. Apply recent technological advances to enhance sophisticated and personalized care in ACHD.
CONTINUING EDUCATION:
In support of improving patient care, Hawai‘i Pacific Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
