Positively Pregnant

Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children and HMSA invite you and your partner to our FREE Positively Pregnant Class. HMSA membership is not required. Whether this is your first or second child, this class can help you have a healthy pregnancy. This class is best taken during the first trimester of your pregnancy.

What to expect when you're expecting…As your baby grows and develops, you'll also experience many changes, both physically and emotionally. Knowing what to expect - what's normal and what's not - will help your pregnancy progress as smoothly as possible.

Our two-hour pregnancy class features:

  • How baby grows and develops each month
  • Common discomforts of pregnancy and what you can do
  • Exercise and nutrition for a healthy pregnancy
  • Changes mom will go through
  • Signs of complications and what to do
  • Questions & answers session
  • Developed with the assistance of our physicians
  • Includes our FREE pregnancy guide

In-person Classes

Our classes are held at either Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children or Pali Momi Medical Center. Please note the location on the class registration below.

Classes are designed for our adult patients, and unfortunately we are not able to accommodate children in classes at this time. Thank you for your understanding by leaving your children in the care of family or friends while you attend your class. If you are not feeling well, please reschedule your appointment, as we are committed to the health and welfare of all participants.

Virtual Classes

Curbside book pick-up will take place at a scheduled date prior to the class located at the Bingham Street patient drop off area (one book per couple per class series). Instructions for literature pick up and login will be provided to you through our Contact Center.

Our Virtual Positively Pregnant class will be held through a video conference call. While mobile devices are capable, please keep in mind that viewing the class on a desktop computer or laptop will produce the best result.
